Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Houndbound. In order to run a safe and efficient environment for all the dogs i need all our owners to adhere to the following terms and conditions.

 

Enrolment  

  • All male dogs must be neutered

  • All dogs must be micro-chipped and wearing an ID tag with your current phone number on and address but not a name.

  • All dogs must be at least 6 months old to attend Houndbound

  • All dogs must come for a trial half day  - this is charged at the normal rate

  • All dogs must have a completed Human and Hound form on file before they can attend day-care.

  • Owners must sign to give written consent if you would like your dog walked off lead.

  • Not all dogs are suitable for day-care, so owners must consider that their dog may not be suited to the environment we offer.

 

Health

  • All dogs attending Houndbound must be treated regularly for fleas, ticks and worms.

  • All dogs must be up to date with current, recommended vaccinations.

  • It is the owner's responsibility to ensure the dog is of adequate health and fitness to attend day-care.

  • Female dogs who come into season, will not be able to attend Houndbound for the duration of their season (2-3weeks)

  • All dogs must be in good health and not sent to Houndbound if showing any signs of conditions or illnesses that could potentially be contagious to other dogs.

  • Houndbound reserve the right to turn your dog away or send them home if we suspect any contagious illness.

 

Behaviour

  • All dogs must pass a behaviour assessment on their trial day.

  • All dogs must be non aggressive and not toy or food possessive.

  • Owners will be asked to certify their dog has never harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behaviour to any other dog or person.

  • Houndbound reserve the rights to turn away any dog showing unsuitable or aggressive behaviour.

  • Please remember your dog will be spending time with other people's dogs in a kennel free environment and that their safety is our main priority.




 

Accidents and Emergencies

  • In the event your dog should fall ill or have an accident whilst at day-care, Houndbound reserve the right take your dog to the vet, all charges of which will be passed on to the owner's account.

  • Houndbound takes great pride in the safety and care of all the dogs visiting, however they cannot be held responsible for any loss, accident, injury, illness or death caused to any dog in our care.

 

Timings and Routine

  • Dogs that are dropped off rather than picked up need to be dropped off between 7.30-8.30 am or we will have to leave to collect other dogs.

  • When dogs are dropped off or picked up please ring me when you arrive and i will come out. Please do not come to the door and  knock  as i don't run my business from my house.

  • We collect dogs between 8.30-9.45 am and drop home between 4-5.30pm

  • We only offer half days in the morning, between 8am and 1pm, any thing over becomes a full day.

  • If your dog is visiting for a half day, they must be collected from me by 1pm or we can drop home between 12-1 if you live in Newbridge/Weston area.

  • If prearranged you can drop your dog off at a later time in the day, however it must fit in with our walking schedule and your dog may miss out on the morning walk.

  • I operate my pick up and drop offs service in Ba1 only, between Newbridge and Larkhall area. (Areas i cover Newbridge, Weston, Sion hill, Lansdown, Town Centre , Camden, Fairfield park , Larkhall, Swainswick, Bailbrook  Tadwick, Wolley)

 

Bookings and Cancellations

  • Bookings and enquiries made by phone call must be made within our working hours.

  • When booking your dog in please try to give me as much notice as possible so that I can plan pick up / drop off and staffing schedules for the day in advance.

  • To avoid disappointment try to book day-care in, a week in advance to ensure I have a space for your dog. It is not always possible for me to accommodate your dog at last minute, although I will always try my best if I can.

  • Cancellations must be made 24hrs prior to the booking otherwise full service fee will be charged.

  • If you need to make a cancelation close to the 24hrs notice then please ring me rather than email or text to let me know

  • Please do not presume your booking is cancelled if you have left me a message cancelling. All cancellations have to be confirmed by me with a response.

  • If you are taking your dog away on holiday or have time off and you do not need our services over that period, please let me know a minimum of 2 weeks notice.

  • If you no longer need our services we also require a minimum of 2 weeks notice. Failure to do so will mean we will charge you 2 weeks worth of your monthly bill.

  • All Daycare or Walk bookings to be made and confirmed with Lauren not Houndbound employees.

  • I dont work weekends, so weekend care is subject to my availability.






 

Prices and Discounts

  • All customers must agree to our rates.

  • Our prices our fixed prices for everyone.

  • We charge £20 for a full day and £15 for a half day per dog.

  • Pick up and drop off is charged £1.50 per way.

  • For a second dog from same household we offer a 25% discount only on full day-care.

  • For any dog joining us for 5 days of full Daycare per week we offer a 10% discount on your monthly bill excluding pick up and drop off fee.  

  • We do not offer any discount for dogs joining us for a few hours, owners will be charged a minimum of a half day fee.

  • Weekend daycare is an extra £5 on top of normal service fee.

  • Overnight care is and extra £10 onto of normal service fee.


 

Payments

  • Invoices are sent out at the end of each month, however we may send you an invoice if you have completed all your booking with us before the end of the month.

  • We allow 5 working days for payment to be received after the invoice has been issued.

  • Any late payments, incur a late payment charge , which is 10% of your monthly bill and will be added onto the following months invoice.

  • We do not accept cheques only cash or BACS.


 

Working Hours

  • Please respect our working hours which are between 7.00am- 6.00 pm Monday-Friday. Any phone calls, emails or texts may not be answered out of hours.

  • If your dog is still in my care after 6.00 pm then you will incur a late collection fee, which is £1.50 for each hour after.

  • Please do not ask me to keep dogs an extra few hours into the evening if it is not prearranged. If you would like a late pick up please arrange a minimum or 24hrs in advance as it is not always possible at last minuet.

 

HoundBound

  • Houndbound must be able to gain access to your property to collect or return your dog in the event of you not being there so a key must be provided.

  • Houndbound can not always work to exact timings for collection and drop off.

  • Owners will be responsible to pay for any damage caused by their dog when visiting Houndbound.
